Description...
The Brighton Marathon has once again partnered with Embrace Sports to offer its's athletes a targeted pre-marathon training holiday in the sunny Algarve, Portugal. Come and enjoy training for the marathon in a warmer climate and experience great coaching, advice and expert tips for preforming at your best come the 10th April 2011.

The training weeks are for all abilities and will build on your running strength, endurance, speed, technique and knowledge of longer distance running. Outside of the training you will get to stay at luxury villa accommodation, receive fantastic catering, attend optional excursions and spend time with like-minded runners.

As our guests travel from all over the world to attend our training holidays, we ask them to arrange their own transport to the location. This not only helps keep the package costs low but also gives guests the flexibility to choose their own airline and arrival time… more about flights

Once guests have confirmed their reservation on one of our training holidays we ask them to send us their planned travel itinerary before booking. We normally ask for an arrival and departure time of between 12:00 – 17:00. These times quite often don’t suit so we will work with you to make sure transfers are arranged.

 
         
         
   
Who is this suitable for?
   
         
   

This marathon training holiday is suitable for all abilities. The holiday will be focused around the build up to the 2011 Brighton Marathon. Embrace will be catering for first time marathoners through to championship marathoners. Embrace have expert coaches & leaders focusing on all abilities during these weeks.

The weeks training schedule will be run so that there will be longer & shorter options for athletes. The training will be supervised and run by Embrace representatives and will encompass some of the most amazing and scenic running routes in the Algarve.

We get a mixture of abilities, age groups, singles, couples and even small groups attending our training holidays. Whatever your Brighton Marathon goal we will sit with you at the start of the holiday to plan out each training session so that you get the most out of your time with us.

An Embrace representative will be at the local airport (or train/bus stop) at a pre-arranged time to pick you up and drop you back off after your training holiday. Transport will also be provided too and from training locations when needed. One of the common comments when guests first see our villa in the Algarve is “wow… I never thought we would be staying in a place like this!” The villa is luxurious, spacious, private and located near all training facilities and amenities. The villa has a lovely Portuguese / Moroccan charm to it and is always a huge hit with guests.

There is nothing worse than being on a holiday and having to do the shopping and cooking. Not to mention after a hard days training! So to ease the pressure and to make sure that you get a truly enjoyable break, Embrace will make sure all your food and drinks are provided and your evening meals prepared.
