Being dwarfed by the magical Col’s in the Pyrenees is reason enough to choose France as your next training destination. Embrace is located at the foothills of the famous Col Du Tourmalet, Col D’Aspin and Col Des Palomieres. A cyclists dream if you have ever followed the Tour De France.

Nature has carved the most amazing trail and valley runs into the Col’s making running in the Pyrenees not only challenging but also breathtaking! But don’t worry what goes up must come down and there are a number of flats to stretch your running legs.

The surrounding towns of Bagneres, Labassere and Tarbes host a number of fresh water indoor Olympic and 25m pools. If the temperature (or bravery!) permits open water swimming is abundant with large lakes and reservoirs.

The Pyrenees is truly a fantastic playground for triathletes and runners where the training is rewarding, relaxing at the local spa chambers is blissful and ending the day at a local cafe for coffee and crepes makes all the hard work worth it!
